Best lighted nock for .204id carbon ?

I’m looking for a reliable lighted nock for some Gold Tip Classic woodgrain shafts .204id. Reliability and price both a consideration. What’s everyone’s experience?
I have had good luck with nocturnals and I shoot Easton Axis 5 mm shafts.
Ditto. No universal collar needed for those either.
I use Nocturnals on my .246id shafts and occasionally have one that would come on while bow is sitting across my lap with an arrow nocked. Other than that I’ve been very pleased with them. I’ll probably go with them again, but didn’t know if there was anything any better to look at.
Don’t nock it till you try it, but there are ones on Amazon - Deep Power or Keaup. They are about $17 for a 6 pack. I think they are much better than Nocturnals…..which I used for years. I thought the Nocturnals were a sloppy fit….and they easily bend.
My girlfriend has been using deep power for years. Best battery life I’ve seen, easy on and off. Worked so well, I just bought some for myself
Ive used Nockturnals for years... But Blood is a frigging mastermind with arrow builds, so now I'm super curious. Are these the ones: https://www.amazon.com/DEEPOWER-Lighted-Arrows-Bushings-Green-6Pack/dp/B0CF9KDYJ5/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=MXGTBA6HXY0Q&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.hDxuhCpxKFrj8OR9P2qpM6x9z01qHLJ2zGnF0Cbz0JpZkwByUj_ztM-OBRi4Kfru1QNoapQjA4EK1ejTzKqyuwNC3EKgYDILGE9WJwv40FhLDTKpRBJoHWsoI_Gep9UFGBMtaLGKLfYqUUP2NrnjtyPMHPBW910r_l9wZXIS0WUAQM34LV2fZMYjyR-4k5Qiq5ZKomrwrTPYo86PBCEVvUedAPbNrdODVyUgZ7u573w6FYeFGjnndst8ZrSO0YatHIipyRDpb2w1jwaYg726im8GVUV0uZc5EA8UUDa1JI8.eN0ydGL-ZAV_VubcpHyySUAbju_BRsaPRB3n0uVpxwE&dib_tag=se&keywords=deep%2Bpower%2Blighted%2Bnocks%2B.204&qid=1725215256&sprefix=deep%2Bpower%2Blight%2Caps%2C92&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1

For that price, Ill just add some on the next time I do an Amazon order for something. Which do you like better Blood?
Those Amazon cheapies worked great for me. When I was in Africa, previous bow hunters had all left an arrow in the thatched roof above the bar. One was still glowing dimly green, the PH told me it had been there almost 2 weeks. It was the same as the ones I got from Amazon (with a raised on off switch). I like that you can actually turn them off and reuse them again and again. For targets that's crucial. The name brand stuff usually has worked for me, but it's sometimes one and done because they won't reliably turn off.
The only downside I have noticed is that when I put one through a Warthog, the switch got blood in it and it was hard to switch it all the way to off. I can live with that. After a kill shot, I'll consider that nock to have earned it's keep.
Here Will. I think that’s the right link. I’m sure brand name ones work well, but these have been great for me. And very consistent with fit, finish and weight variance. And if you blow one up or something, it’s only a few dollars.
Here’s a batch I just made up. And here’s a Nocturnal next to the Deep Power. I was always putting a thin plastic bag around the Nocturnals to get them to fit…..and the plastic on the Nocturnals bends pretty easy, which leads to errant arrows if you’re not checking them.
I went ahead and ordered 6 of the DeePower for like $16.99 on Amazon Prime. The ones I ordered are for .204 id so no need for a sizing bushing. I like the idea of 1 less part to worry about. I’ll try to report back after I have chance to install and shoot them.
What color do you guys like and why? Anyone shooting the strobe Deep Power knock? Does the strobe activate during flight or does it have a delay?
I don’t think there is a “best”. I have used about four different brands and have found good and bad ones in all brands. I would just get some of the popular ones and try them, odds are, most if not all will be good. The unreliable ones I put on my practice arrows.
I use the Deepower ones myself but when I shot skinny arrows I couldn't get the lighted nocks to hit with my regular ones, even with field points. They've always worked fine on standard sized arrows.
I used the deep power two years ago on a new build because I didn’t want to wait two days for others to ship and they worked well. Still have em in my arrows now.
Smtn10pt, that’s because lighted nocks weigh more than regular nocks.
I got the DeePower lighted nocks in for my Gold Tip Traditional Classic shafts (.204) I’d. I only shot two of the six and they worked flawlessly at 10 yards in my basement out of a 44# selfbow into a block type target. They were also easy to shot off, and as bright as any lighted nock I have used in the past. My original nocks weigh 10 grains and the DeePower all weigh 22 grains on my digital scale. Using a 12 strand D97 string with Brownell #4 serving, the nocks are a little tight, but not bad.
1st photo, lights on. 2nd photo, lights off.
That looks great! Shoot straight and kill a nice one this fall :)
I bought the Amazon cheapies Keaup and they work great. The main reason I bought them was the simple turn-off. Not fooling around as with Luminok or Nockturnals...I've had both. Price also an issue. Amazon per ea. Nockturnals...$11.30, Luminok...$9.91, Keaup...$2.42.
I switched to Halo nocks after fighting nocturnals and I tried the deep power from Amazon and it didn’t work in cold weather
Got some the other day Blood, the DeepPower. The seem really solid. Haven't shot em yet, but they seem solid.
sshultz, did something on the activation parts fail in the cold, or did the cold kill the battery? I might stick an arrow with a DeePower nock installed in the freezer, give it 3 or 4 hours, take it out and shoot it as a test. Either way, won’t be a deal breaker for me personally as I am 70 years old, don’t take the cold like I used to, and shoot trad. If I put enough clothes on to stay warm below freezing, I’m bulked up to much to shoot my bow.
Bentstick54 all I know is that the light didn’t activate and it was in the teens
Ok. Thanks. Way to cold for me for bowhunting.
I just received a 6 pack of the Deep Power nocks. Shot a couple of them yesterday afternoon to compare to the Nocturnals. My observations: -They are much easier to turn off than the Nocturnals -They are not quite as bright as the Nocturnals -Both arrows fly the same -Of the 2 I have tried, one was exceptionally dim, like the battery was about dead, will check all the others this evening.
Will they work with the 4mm Easton's?
I’m not sure what 4mm converts to, but I did see them for .165 diameter also.
