We're still testing but the handful of people who have gone through it seem to be working well. So I'm opening this up to all visitors for testing. Please send me a PM with any issues/problems. Every one of you guys that says you did not receive the email was in fact sent the email. I see them all. Looks like most if not all are using gmail. Check your gmail spam settings, and if the email is there then flag it as NOT SPAM, or whitelist (or trust) all email coming from the domain, Bowsite.com. The exact email address sending the registrations is [email protected]. I have validated that email is trusted by google, and the spam lists. So the problem is likely your individual spam settings.
We have hundreds of successful gmail deliveries so far, so I don't know why you guys are having issues. Try that first, otherwise you will just continue to have problem down the road.

Worked well for me. I was in the same boat as Spike, I thought mine wasn’t working either but it did come through after a little wait. Looks great so far, the Make Big Game Forums Great Again campaign might be coming to fruition after all

I didn't receive an email (still using AOL) or text to my cell, checked both in my registration and they're listed correctly. I did use the email provided in this event so hopefully it's sorted out soon.

Make sure your email is updated also. I’m retired but my old work email was still listed. I updated to my current email and got confirmation code right away. Good luck.

I don’t receive an email at first then I went back in and realized that I didn’t click the appropriate link for the code. I thought it came after you registered, but it looks like you have to request the code after registering. For those that didn’t receive it you might have one more button to click.

NM, pretty sure only the nontypical forum will be paid. I definitely wouldn’t pay a subscription, as we already financially contribute through ad revenue. I don’t think the big game forum will be behind a paywall though from what I could tell from the intro message

I got it, was in my junk like Pat said, should have thought to look there. Defiantly my original old school PIN number.

Thanks MA- I had actually tried that several times. It wasn’t until I cleared everything out and started over that it took.
As mentioned before, the new site has some positives however, since all bow hunting content will remain on the main forum we will see how much activity it generates. Especially since the users can’t hide in their basements anymore. Politically speaking of course…

FYI, for those who are having problems registering, if you still have your original Bowsite PIN number, it should work for the new Non-typical forum. At least mine did, as it did for a few others above.

4nolz, I'm pretty sure the new forum requires a separate registration, so you might never be able to access it from a menu on these main forums. Did you click on Pat's link in the original post? The registration was very straight forward for me on both a computer and cell phone.

then you verify all your current info, click the "i agree" box, hit "submit"
then click "verify registration"
then enter your login code
then you're in, click "non typical forums"
edit to add: once in and able to view topics, save the page in your favorites to return to it, the dropdown at top of page will not take you to the non typical forum (yet?!)

fwiw… I wasn’t getting the return email after several submissions from earlier today.
Apparently I had changed emails from my original registration 20 plus years ago. Once I switched to my current email - I received the bowsite email to complete registration in less than a minute.

I'm using an android phone and had to click my "unread" to get to the email with the code, not spam or junk mail. Once registered, the drop down menu doesn't yet access the forum. I'm sure Pat will work on that once the testing is complete.

Pat, Add another one that won't give a phone number to register. Please come up with a way to allow access without providing a phone number. That is too intrusive. I've given up on other sites due to this, and will do so here too.
