Mast crop this year?

How's the mast crop where you are this year? In this area I'm seeing apples on every old tree, plenty of acorns, plenty of wild grapes, and even lots of assorted mushrooms. (Both the kinds I'm told are edible and 'o-h*-no!' varieties.)
Deer are definitely not concentrated, food-wise.
Gotta scout a beech grove later this week...
NE Wyoming best acorns in years
I haven't paid much attention, but I know our Chinquapin oaks have lots on them and our Red oaks look good too. I haven't looked at the Burr or DCO's yet.
We do have some decent mast in our white oak but in some areas they are smaller than usual.Lewis
Pins and burr oaks are loaded in my neck of the woods
Another Great mast year. I have hundreds of apple trees and the oaks have a good crop this year.
Last year the apples were so heavy they were breaking limbs.
Dana, up here, about 40 or 50 miles northeast of you (if I remember correctly), we have the first big acorn crop in about three hunting seasons—the past two years have been zeros or dang near that. Other mast, pears/apples, etc., look good. I've seen some wild Concord grapes that are loaded up well, too. Overall, it's looking like a good mast year here.
This is the most acorns I’ve ever seen in the FL. Unreal
Most acorns I've ever seen last year. This year pretty sparse in parts of MN and WI
Acorns sparse here also, and wettest summer I remember (near Mille Lacs Lake)
Dang Bluedog you live where it really gets cold !! I bet you miss Arizona at times.
Naa it doesn't get very cold in winter anymore like it used to.
I miss the public land and open spaces in Arizona. I'm a rifle man at heart I expect.
Probably so Bluedog. We probably could argue on what each of us thinks cold is:). I like open spaces also.
I said Minnesota doesn't get cold like it used to. Me I get cold like an old man... never used to, I was indifferent to it back then. Find I'm pretty good at just sitting by the heat these days.
Well, we sure as hell had a bumper crop of blueberries in the Hudson Valley this summer, and the oaks are looking good around the club…
My mom reports a massive quantity of pine cones from the Doug Fir up at the house…. Hope to be there shortly to investigate. Small game license this year, too. ;)
Great moisture/mast year in MO. First year in three years that the majority of the state hasn’t been in extreme drought all summer long
Much of the upper Midwest had a great acorn crop last year. Haven’t seen much in MN this year. Have seen some Burr soaks carrying acorns in NE this year.
Little to no pine cones on my 2 acre compound either. Ponderosa, jack pine and spruce. Last year had a bumper crop of pine cones and acorns.. (north central Minnesota)
Put out some trail cams this afternoon. Looks like a good crop in south central Indiana.
Seeing some acorns and Hickory nuts , not sure if a big crop yet . Persimmons and other soft mast around too .
Seems to be a good white oak crop in my parts of MS this year
Black Oak acorns are already starting to drop in NorCal, first time I've seen that in many years. Watched this big Forky feed around the same black oak both evening and morning last weekend, unfortunately, he was 40 yards on the wrong side of a fenceline I was sitting.
Record rainfall may have contributed. My apple tree on the other hand is basically fruitless this Year.
We had a phenomenal crop of acorns last year. Like I've never seen before in my life. I did a little scouting yesterday and found a few dropping here and there.
White oak are thick in all the areas I hunt. I’ve yet to find any red oak species with any mast.
Soft mast production is good. However before the rains started back three weeks ago, the grapes and black berries had shriveled up due to drought. I doubt they make it as viable food. Leaves are starting to turn in the mountains too. Due to being so dry. It’s going to be a good year for killing.
It seems like there are more acorns than normal in NE Ohio
Many white oaks are loaded in Southern Indiana this year. Thinking it could be quite the show!
Old apple tree that looks half dead producing a load this year. Trampled underneath...
Good acorn mast in western NY. Ridiculous apple crop this year....
Apples are very sparce. A handful of my 30+ trees have a dozen apples. Last year there were so many several branches broke from the weight. Acorns are doing well, and my 1.5-acre field corn plot is the best its ever been.
Southwest Va has lots and lots of red oak acorns. White oaks are more spotty. Tons of apples and berries and grapes. Not sure about hickories.
As medicineman mentioned, good acorn (red) crop this year in Western NY. Haven't found any white oak acorns on my property but I'm being told there are some in other local areas. Apples are so heavy this year that branches are bending over and some have snapped. There are also hazel nuts which deer love and also black cherries. All of our beech trees are dying so beechnuts will soon be history.
Got pelted by acorns on my lunch time mountain bike ride yesterday... Confirms the earlier observations of a good mast year here this year!
