I'm going to New Brunswick next week for a Baited Bear hunt. I have only ever hunted over bait in the Spring and I was wondering about what's different about the fall season. I am sure that availability of Natural food comes into play ... does that dictate that certain types of baits work better?
I'm curious about what the Bow Site Brain Trust thinks about this topic.

I use all sweets in Fall. No meat. We had a bumper crop of blueberries and now mountain ash. We still got bears. All cameras that we did have put showed morning to noon hits because of heat. So don't just hunt afternoon. Baits hot but no Bear shows while you're on eve stand, change your mind routine. Nocturnal is a term that is heavily over used term. FALL HUNTS are very successful with right outfit ..

I am interested in this too as still trying to break my bear curse. Shot one in MB, but taxidermist freezer broke and never got hide or skull.
So also curious how the fall hunts compare. One outfitter said less bugs and bears weight more, so it was really what my preference was.

I’m hunting with Boobe Brook Outfitters in Zionville. Good folks, lots of bears.
