Alaska Spring Bear Hunt

My wife and her friend want to take a couple's vacation to Alaska in 2025. I have always wanted to hunt AK. Her friend's husband is also a bowhunter. Thinking two birds, one stone - can anyone recommend a spring black bear hunt that is boat-based? Both women would appreciate fishing and seeing some of the country this way for part of the trip. And of course, I would love to stalk a black bear on the beach or bluffs above the shoreline. Any tips for feasibility, outfitters, costs, logistics, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Dave

Some guys on here have hunted bears with Roark and I’m surprised they haven’t weighed in. I’ve only hunted deer with them but always wanted to do the family bear- fishing.

My black bear hunt with Roark was late August...not a spring hunt. Awesome bowhunting adventure on salmon streams...and some great fishing!

Stikine Guide Service does a boat bear hunt. I havent hunted with him but from what I can tell he seems quite successful.

I had hear about Stikine Guide Services offer also a great sitka deer hunt. Their web page looks good
