Spring vs Fall black bear hunting

I need details from you guys that prefer a fall black bear hunt. I'm considering hunting the fall archery only period in New Brunswick. This would be my 5th black bear hunt. I hunted the fall once in Maine. It was not a productive hunt and very cold. The outfitter said the bears were shutting down for the season. Any advice on fall hunting would be appreciated.

I would recommend a spring hunt over bait. In the fall u are competing with lots of natural foods and farm crops. No bugs if u go early enough.
