Kodiak hunt opening(s) - Nov 16-23

Bowsite, due to some conflicts, I need to back out of an upcoming boat based Sitka BT deer hunt on Kodiak with Homer Ocean Charters, so my loss maybe your gain!
Multiple Bowsiters have been on this trip (including me!) and I’m sure they can all attest that there may not be a better dollar for dollar adventure out there. Lots of references available if you have questions and the Mathews crew filmed a great video last year that gives you a sense of what to expect (linked above).
Hunt dates are November 16-23 in the peak of the rut and ahead of Thanksgiving. Price for the hunt is normally $5,275 but will offer it for a discounted price of $4,275. As it stands, there is also a second opening available on the hunt at that price if you have a buddy who may be interested. Travel, tags, and tip are not included (though the float plane ride to the boat is).

To be fair to those other guys in the pic….they didn’t know KH’s buddy was gonna bail last minute, and by the time they found out who his replacement was, it was too late.

I shouldn't do it this year, but I'm amazed nobody has jumped on this deal. One of the challenges I've had with this hunt is finding a partner that wants to do it. Solo deer hunting is fine most places, but probably not the wisest choice on Kodiak.
Oryx, I should have mentioned there are six other hunters confirmed on the trip, including a Bowsiter or two. Looking to fill slots 7 and 8.

Looks like one of the two spots is filled (by a bowsiter) so one left. If you know of anyone that might be interested, please let me know. Willing to pay out a finder’s fee of $500 if someone finds someone else to fill the spot - and if any of you fill it personally you can keep the finder’s fee as well.

Dang! I would jump in that if still available! Been out in the elk woods and just saw it! I went on that hunt in the 90’s with Nathan Andersohn, TJ Conrads, Greg Joufalas, Dirk Dietrich, and Neal Summers. Don’t know if we could have had a better boat load. Need to do it again…
