Some pictures from the weekend of elk. I'll post in order taking so I can remember what I post or not. Got a lot of pictures of one that is the biggest I have seen this year, also I have some good video of him fighting another big bull and lots of glunting and bugling. However I left the member card at home so come back tomorrow and I'll add them then.

I saw two 8x8 bulls on the National Elk Refuge north of Jackson Wyo when we lived therefrom '78-'83. Back then many thousands of elk wintered on the refuge every year. The big mature bulls 6x6 and up were off to the side of the cows. Some were close enough to the road I could count antlers without binos. BTW those elk were supplemental fed by govt.

Great stuff. I love that one back between the trees. The one you were wondering if it works.
I've found personally that right after taking photos my obvious favourites are the more "Classic" pics and almost animal portraits etc. Then, after time goes by maybe a month or two and seeing the pics here and there usually a new favourite emerges. A more unique photo, or a different look or emotion seen. This one is more along those lines for me.
