Another bucket list hunt I’d like more info on is mountain goats on Kodiak. Looking at 2027 or 28. Would love to hear about that hunt and any outfitter suggestions you may have. I’d say I’m in very good shape for my age. Thanks!!

It's a bit dated, but he is my Kodiak story. The outfit that I went with has been sold twice since I was there, so I can't offer any outfitter input. There are definitely alot of goats there.

Known for Lower elevation relatively easy hunt there. Lots of goats. Not lots of monsters. Good option for a guy wanting a goat and not confident in a classic high elevation hunt.

Attempted to draw mountain goat tags on Kodiak with Cole Kramer, but did not get lucky in the draws. Eventually, was able to land a cancellation hunt with Babine Guide Outfitters in BC. Absolutely no regrets! Fantastic mountain goat hunt with a great outfitter!

Offgrid, there are several good guides in Colorado, I would suggest Mark Turner as I have known him for many, many years and know how hard he works for his hunters.

I recently contacted Babine to ask about booking a goat hunt. They told me they were not booking any more goat hunts that aren't already booked.
Said it was getting too hard to find goat guides. It may be the end of an era. Unfortunately it looks like I missed it.

Lonesome Dove just had a great deal on a cancellation but it just went under contract.
They have some openings next year.

I hope many people get to do a dream hunt and and post like t-roy. I will never get tired of reading mountain hunts! Or leopard hunts, or elk hunts, or yard hopper hunts!

Cliff Gray in CO... Not sure if he is still guiding himself, but if he can point you in the right direction either way.
