Bet this guy wishes he had a moose tag...8^)
It's his own fault, rutting moose can be dangerous, the dude should have backed off:

Seems Outdoor Life has always liked drama.
I remember as a kid reading an article called “This grizzly climbed”. Anyone remember that article?

No but every other issue had a grizzly on the cover and an attack story inside.

Had subscriptions to Outdoor Life for a long time, also on and off with Sports Afield and Field and Stream, but don't remember that exact “This grizzly climbed” article, but one of my favorite columns was "This Happened To Me"...

I can't believe he moved the direction which allowed the moose to step around the saplings between him and the moose.

The video wasn’t quite as good as the one where the moose ran over Dwight Schuh after Dwight pronged him. He didn’t miss the moose, but I miss Dwight ! R. I. P. Dwight !

Video clip a few years ago went viral of a cow moose attacking a guy on a snowmobile and he shot and killed it with a .40 S&W...

I called in a bull moose in Montana last weekend while elk hunting. He came in from 100 yards to 10 yards within a few minutes. We had a stare down for about 5 seconds before I threw my hands up and he ran off. Super cool encounter but was still thinking in the back of my mind “Hmm he’s getting a little closer than I thought. Hopefully he doesn’t charge me” lol

I had a small whitetail stay about 10 yards from me as I was walking back to my pickup after an evening hunt. He did this for at least 100 yards across an open field. He did not show any aggression, but I was keeping the option of shooting him open if he changed his posture. It was past shooting hours, but if things took a turn I was prepared to shoot him with my recurve and face the consequences. This was during the rut and I knew any animal could be unpredictable at that time. I finally got him to simply walk away.
