If you want a Newfoundland moose hunt, Tyler is the man to talk to and Effords is the outfit to book with. Just finished my second hunt with them and the guides told me Tyler is the man! Effords is family run and they are men of their word.

Talked to the Effords family in Nashville and they pass the gut check. Seem like awesome people. Then there's the fact that I know Tyler cranks jumbos there non stop with his clients.

I haven't hunted moose with Tyler (yet) but I spent a week with him in Australia. Fantastic Guide!

My first hunt was a 10 day 2x1 archery hunt during the early season killed one on day 2 and the next on day 5. Fantastic weather, repeat clients of mine from buff camp. week couldn’t have gone any better. The larger may be my first Newfoundland booner moose he’s going to be very close after guiding over 100 moose here booners almost don’t exist here as they are certainly a different sub species of moose compared to a western Canadian moose first bull killed at 28 yards stalked in close then cow called past the shooter. Second bull stalked in close to him and his cows and bull called/decoyed him to 13 yards for the lovely lady to send one through the lungs.

Those were the only bow hunters I had. Killed a handful of other great bulls but it’s Bowsite and they were all gun hunters. We are very well staffed with excellent guides here now I have full confidence in everyone I guide alongside. I do however take trumps when guiding bowhunts just based on experience as a lifelong bowhunter myself. it was a fantastic first 5 weeks with a ton of high caliber moose taken in all camps

Tyler is the man. If I was going to do a moose (or caribou) hunt it would be with him.

That’s absolutely incredible Tyler. Way to go. GIANTS, especially that booner. Insane. How wide were those two?

49 and 52 Matt. Took two other bulls at 50 and 51.5 with rifles and a couple mid high 40s as well seemed to be a great year for antler growth. I’m thinking the very easy winter last year had something to do with it.

Gaggers. All All these taken in the trophy hunt?
From: Tyler

Yes all taken in our trophy camps. With very limited selective harvest each year it ensures quality animals taken consistently each season

Those are some GIANT Newfie bulls! Congrats!
I killed a young, 6 pt bull with Roberts. Great hunt with plenty of opportunity. I hunted the early now only week.
Drove up from NJ. Every usable ounce of the bull made the drive back with me!
Fun, logistically easy hunt.

Anybody know anything about Akhaia Outfitters good or bad? Was looking at their helicopter fly in Trophy hunt.

Very expensive for newfound moose hunt. Especially for 2x1 hunts. They may be worth every penny, but they are definitely on the very high end of the spectrum.
