A few pictures from the last couple or maybe three weekends I don't remember. Yesterday was our anniversary so the wife and I went up and hike to a little lake we like. Found a few moose. This guy was following a cow and grunting every step he took.

I am no great judge of moose but I say decent a bull, probably one I hate to be looking at 2-3 day into a season with a tag. Bigger ones out there but still not a bad moose??

Normally shadows in the wrong places are the enemy. But I thought the shadows from his brow tines looks like he has tusk

Oh I found a black morph Abert Squirrel. Don't know if they are common or not but I don't think I had seen a black one before. But I don't spend a ton of time looking at squirrels either.

I ran into this guy, guess he could not make up his mind if he wanted to shoot elk with a camera or a gun.

These were in the Poudre Canyon yesterday a little late for most of the color but still found a little. I like to get better at taking landscape shots one day.

Last one. I found this along the Poudre River thought it was a nice tribute that has last almost 20 years.

Yep, cool stuff as always! Sure wish you could get a few pics of failure/corn-piles...they're so serene, but I know it's a real challenge ;?)

John" is that first moose a shooter?". Sure if one just wants to shoot a bull moose. If one wants to meet PY 125 in minimum, NO. Lacks antler width, paddle length and width, and has only one brow time per side. Ha! now that I am an expert!!!!!!!! :)
Great pictures. Moose are a totally different animal, like being from a far away planet.
