Wondering if anyone uses the Mystery Ranch Treehouse 16 pack?

If so, what’s your thoughts?

I have the larger one and I love it , quiet , very well built , water resistant and drys fast . Lots of pockets , straps , lid on top is easy open and super quiet , very comfortable when on the back and can haul a load if need be

I have the bigger one. It's great. Lots of pockets/straps , it's super quiet and holds its shape making it easier to get things in and out. I used to just use my stone glacier pack for whitetails but if you can swing a second pack it's a nice option.

Mystery Ranch missed the mark by not marketing their "Pop Up" packs as whitetail packs. For a mobile hunter I bought a Pop up 16 or something can't remember what it was called but it's the best stand to use for saddle/platform+ sticks or a LW+sticks I have come across.

I am looking for a replacement for an old horn hunter. It’s been good, but too noisy for me. The buckles and zippers make it almost impossible to quieten down.

APauls,

I agree, I have 2 of the Pop Ups and they are a great pack!!

When you guys say you have the bigger one, are you using the 20 or 38? I like to carry all my cloths into the stand and dress before climbing up. I'm guessing the 38 is what I would need to carry enough cloths and gear for all day sits in colder temps?

I have the 20. I like it a lot but regret not getting the 38. Not only is it a little bigger but it has a waist belt.

I’ve tried a couple packs like this, one being the Sitka pack whatever that was called,, tool bucket or something? I think if you’ve got a massive tree to hide the pack profile they’re probably pretty slick, but for me I much prefer a fanny pack with larger waist band that I can just wrap around the trunk. I can position it exactly how I want it and so my profile hides just a fanny pack.

I use a large Kifaru pack to haul in my stand (I’m a hang and hunt guy) and that way the walk in is ultra comfortable, and I have ample room to haul big stuff like large jackets etc. I just throw my fanny in the Kifaru and then when I’m at the tree I just bring my essentials up to the top in the fanny. This seems to work best for me (again, for me. I have small trees usually) But with this system I have a nice large open pouch right beside me that I can reach into with minimal movement. If I’m really concerned that I need access to a larger amount of things, I can leave my pack on a pull string at the bottom. But if that’s in the tree with me I’m getting busted for sure. Oh and one other thing, I haven’t found the dedicated tree stand style packs to actually be that comfortable to haul a stand for very long. All just for what it’s worth, I think gear like this is really dependant on your style of hunting and tree selection

I have the 20 and the 38... If I had to pick just one, I would take the 38!

Are the zippers pretty quiet on the treehouse packs?

Scheels has the 38 on sale right now.

Just picked up a used treehouse 16 for $125 off saddle hunter classifieds page on facebook. You can find used ones for sale there fairly often. Scheels has them for $130 at the time of this post. I have never been big on carrying a pack for hunting around home, but lately have found myself wanting a small pack mostly to tote my sticks and layers. Carrying sticks by hand sucks, and my few hydration style packs aren't cutting it for that task. Also have a MR pop up 30 for hunting in the mtns... so not really necessary for a few hour sit at home.

Gotta say its a pretty darn nice little pack for my needs. I can fit an extra layer in the bottom, stuff in my saddle (with pouches attached), and a small platform inside the main compartment with room to spare. I love the quiet material so far. Water bottle pockets are good and deep. Build quality seems fine/ tough for what should be a light duty pack.

If I had to complain about something it would be the lack of a dual zipper on the small top compartment. That would be handy when accessing a particular side of the compartment when you hang it up. I would also like to see additional tie-down loops/ ability to add straps and customize.... that said, the 2 outside straps will work for lashing rattling antlers or a set of climbing sticks.

Does it have a spot for a hydration bladder?

I looked and didn't see anything listed for one.

Quick update. I used the 38 for the first time this weekend during the WI gun season. I really like it. I packed my water in the bottom then my layers of clothes in reverse as I needed to put them on. When I got to my stand, I was able to dress in the dark and had no problems finding all my gear. The top section with the inside and outside zipper is slick!!! I had snacks and hot packs in there for easy access. I'm defiantly liking the pack for how much it holds, feels while walking with it on and design.
