Currently have the z lite thermarest and I don't like it, arms fall asleep before I do. Thinking of an inflatable. What do you use that you like?

I got one of the newer Thermarests; crazy light and it works great. Mostly. You could say it’s really slick. Because it IS really slick. I kinda have some trouble staying right on top of it. Tried slipping it inside of my bag, but there’s a moisture/condensation issue with that. For some CRAZY reason, inflatable mattresses don’t breathe for beans. Go figure.
If I ever replace my bag, I’ll get a system with the pad integral to the bag, since the insulation underneath you isn’t doing much anyway. Useless weight, in a way….
I’m kinda wondering what other folks do to stay on top of their pads. I was kinda thinking adhesive velcro dots, maybe…

Can’t say enough good about the Exped Dura 5R Sleeping Pad.
We use them for our moose hunts. If sheep hunting it’s not the model for you. For a set camp, it’s awesome.

I’ve used the klymit insulated pad for 4-5 years. Maybe a dozen times a year. Last y summer I bought the big Agnes divide insulated. I’ve slept 5 nights on it.
I have zero issues with the klymit. But, the BA is thicker. It Is a tad heavier but, it is more comfortable.

Exped is the way to go spent a month in Alaska with it. It was great

I’m also a fan of Exped. I had a Downmat 7 for years until it got to close to the woodstove. Now I have a Dura 8 and love it. I’m a side sleeper so an inflatable is the only way to go for me

Width is worth the weight.

Klymit static v-luxe is a great option. It can be a little noisy depending on your bag and how much you turn. The design keeps you on the pad regardless how you sleep.

A few years ago I switched to a Big Agnes Q-Core SLX and I've been very happy with it. I know people rave about the Expeds, but I think when I was shopping around the weight of them was the deal breaker for me. But... those who use them seem to love them, so there's gotta be something to it.

I've had a bunch. The new Thermarest is good, warm but still a tiny bit noisy. Takes one night to get used to it. I really like the fill bag- it's fast. Best is still the Exped- warm, quiet, flat- but a tad heavier due to more durable fabric vs the new Thermarest.
The history on these; Thermarest and Exped are 2 the best manufacturers
