Blaine’s late season buck

My son Blaine stayed with it despite a tougher than normal season for us in 2024. We set out to knock the does back this last week and this heavy buck made a December mistake.
I thought I’d pass these photos along as it’s always impressive to me when the late season bucks fall to the bow.

Troy- this was a MO buck. Really rough year overall with all the rifles ringing out during the MO annual rut rifle slaughter.

I love how quiet the late season is in Missouri. Once the orange army has packed up and hit the road, it becomes a very enjoyable time to be in a stand.

MQQSE, congratulations to your son. Before you posted this, I was just thinking of making a topic where I asked you to start a new thread and give us an update of all of your 2024 hunts. I believe you had quite a few hunts scheduled across the U. S. And several trips to Africa scheduled. I would love to hear about all of them and how they went. Marvin

Maybe I’ll post up some pics on here. We had one crazy year. Not necessarily all archery though!
4 moose, 1 bison, 4 rams, 1 antelope, 1 elk, 4 whitetail bucks, countless does, 1 mountain caribou, the dinkiest Sitka Blacktail ever taken and maybe some other stuff I forgot.
Attaboy Blaine! What a beautiful buck and he’s obviously a good shot. I know Dad is super proud!
