I worked hard to take a deer this fall. I was unsuccessful in seeing many deer much less taking one. I do keep a trail camera out on a spot where I choose not to hunt. I went out on Christmas day to collect my card. There was a fresh snow . In the snow there were tracks feet from my trail camera. He turned his backside to the camera and proceeded to move just enough to trip the camera for several minutes. He made it clear he was a mature buck . In one of the last shots I got a glimpse of his head. He had shed his antlers. It was almost like he was taunting me. It makes me look forward to another season of pursuit. Maybe next year I will wear sweaty clothes and dab myself with oil. It seems to work for the mountain bikers.

Sounds about right. If he makes it through the winter you can get after him next year.

yes! its always good to know a good buck is still around! We just had one show up on camera again that's been very scarce, a 170 class. If he makes it through primitive weapons season next weekend, he will be a BRUTE next year!

Lol, some of them have a way of getting under your skin. Hope he makes it long enough for him to taunt you again.
