Got my sons mount back!
Mule Deer
Contributors to this thread:
I was very happy for him This year. It’s a heck of a buck. It’s his third archery mule deer. He’s 16.
My other son traveled to Oklahoma with his older brother, my oldest son, Kolton. And he shot his first whitetail with his bow back in November. I was hunting late season elk with my wife. That’s why I missed this trip.
This was the bull we’d found for my wife. It’s her 3rd bull elk. 4th elk overall. She’s killed (3) bulls all over 300. And a cow. Super happy for this lady. She loves hunting with me.
Here’s Jeffrey the 16 year old again. His bull from Utah.
My little guy was along for the ride. He was with me on most the hunts this year. He’s 10
He’s got a heck of a start !
Congrats on one Haack of a family season!!!
Mark
The future is now. Congratulations…
All together as a family, I believe we filled 28 total tags this year.
My wife: 4 point mule deer. Her beautiful bull. And she also killed a great bear in Canada this year as well.
My 18 year old daughter killed a bear in Canada. And she also killed a great 4 point mule deer.
My 18 year old son killed a bear in Canada. Killed a spike elk with his bow. Killed a great 4 point mule deer and he killed that whitetail in Oklahoma.
My 12 year old daughter killed her first bear in Canada. Killed her first mule deer, another great 4 point buck. She killed her first elk as well. A nice spike. And she also killed a nice whitetail in Montana.
My oldest son Kolton killed a nice bear in Canada and a nice buck whitetail and a doe whitetail in Iowa.
My 16 year old son killed that nice mule deer with his bow. And that great elk.
This year was the best year we’ve ever had. Will we ever top it? Don’t know but we’ll sure continue to try.
I have spent most the year getting them their animals and that by far, beats killing anything of my own.
Awesome thread, Jeff! You're killin it as far as critters and getting your crew excellent opportunities! Lucky kids and wife for sure!

Yes post more pics please
Beautiful mount! Nice job on getting the whole family involved. Lots of meat for the freezer, but one of you better look into taking up Taxidermy as a hobby!
Heck yeah, Jeff, post up pics, the more the better. Big congratulations to you and your entire family. You are doing it right, for sure.
My wife with her Utah buck. And our little grandson along for the ride
This is Marissa’s Utah buck
A little back story on the next picture I’m Going to post. So I love elk. They’re my animal for sure. My daughter Whitney (12), has Always loved them too. All she’s ever wanted to kill was an elk. So since she was old enough this year, I made it my goal to get her an elk no matter what. I was gonna work as hard as I ever would’ve if I had to, to make this happen.
And she got it done. It was. 2 mile pack out. 1100’ vertical foot. I was super excited for her.
A good morning hike in with my favorite people
My Utah bull with my little guy with me.
Now this was a fun night. We got set up in an area I know holds elk. I cow called and we waited. About 10 minutes later, I looked down the hill and this spike was coming in to my calls quick. I told Peyton, get an arrow and drop to your knees. All 3 Of us were crouched behind a pine tree. I said, I’ll tell you when to draw and you need to shoot him the first chance you get or he’s gonna get our wind if he goes too far past us.
I said, it’s gonna be close. 20 yards at the most.
And sure enough I said, draw! And then the spike came into his view and he hammered him.
In Halloween, Whitney got her 2nd whitetail. This girls had a tremendous year. Things have changed a lot where we live. Kids at their school don’t hunt really. So she has an awful lot of critics at her school. But she’s like me. She doesn’t care what anyone thinks and this girl flat loves hunting.
My wife, myself, and Whitney were hunting Saskatchewan this past spring. Whitney was the first shooter, of course. For her very first bear. We sat in the rain for 6 hours. On the ground. Waiting at the bait for this chance. She toughed it out and was greatly rewarded.
Kolton got himself a nice Iowa buck a few weeks ago as well. I was very happy for him.
We also work hard together too. Family is my number one accomplishment. I won’t go anywhere without them. And every single thing I do, is for them.
Very proud of my boys and the people they’re turning into. Peyton and Jeffrey are my snowmobiling buddies. And these 2 can ride!
I know this thread got sidetracked….but hey…it’s alright. I hope you all have a happy new year.
And Robb, it was actually Ashcroft Taxidermy out of Herriman, Utah that did the mount.
You’re raising those kids right Jeff, congrats on a great year!
Sidetracked nothing, This thread is all about Family! Well done Sir! ,
Oh, okay, thanks man.
Thanks for all the great Fam-Fam pix,
Robb
