My buddies from Nebraska came out. Matt had hunted with me and Beav a few years back. He brought his oldest boy Sage this time

Next up Montana’s youth deer season. Ridge is Buddy Jackson was 10 and could hunt this year. Ridge would have to wait until next year. It didn’t take long to get his first buck at dandy at that.

I kept the boys entertained while Matt and Will chase bowls all over the mountain. The boys got the bugle back-and forth with bulls all day. But tearing out of a beaver dam was by far the favorite part boys being boys.

First of November I head to Western Oregon for a Blacktail hunt. I took a landowner friend of mine‘s grandson, Elk hunting the past few years, and he invited me to come over to hunt black tails at his place.
