Here's a cool one from last fall I had the pleasure to be apart of.
Got to scout and help a friend on a once in a lifetime archery elk hunt last year. Crazy story of going to the wrong gps spot to meet up and much more, but this is all our pics and video just compiled into one long clip to give an idea of what a legit 100 miles on foot in the wilderness area can come to :)

Thanks for sharing. This has me fired up for app/draw season.
Great video Pete, nice way to start my day.
Some giant bulls! A draw tag for all 3 of you or just one? Any hunt details?
Hey Mike, just the one and only NR tag. Was like 1 in 1000 odds to draw for my buddy Billy.
I was helping on another hunt and had planned on getting there a day or so after the season started. Billy and his buddy Jon had spent a week or so on another elk hunt and pulled early to go scout for this one. Billy's cousin Mike also showed up and that's all the pics of them packing in 6.2 miles for their 10 or 11 days of scouting and hunting.
I ended up putting the wrong gps coordinates into google earth to make my plan on meeting up with them. Needless to say I was way off and took me to the third day to get back to where they actually were. Jon pulled the plug when I got there and had Mike hike out take him to the airport and hike back in the day Billy killed.
The elk lay 7.7 miles from the closest truck and was a crazy shuttle to get out. Three trips a mile and a half each way to camp then two trips 6.2 miles to the truck. Stupid I know, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
Got 285 lbs of meat, the full scull and the cape and all our camps in two trips with three of us. Lets just say Billy and Mike are complete studs. I'm just thankful I was in the game.
I'm in my 64th trip around the bright one and I think I'll be looking for some horses and mules for anything like that again :)
Cheers, Pete

Thanks again Pete. What an adventure that was. I hope the draws are lucky again and we can do it again soon whoever has the tag. These hunts in special places are great no matter who has the tag, good luck this spring everyone.

Your videos are always epic and this one did not disappoint! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks guys, was a crazy super fun hunt. Hoping for more like it this year !!!
@grasshopper, I use Vegas Pro 22. It’s the same layout as all the old Sony Vegas and Movie Studio software that I’ve been using since 2010. Too hard to teach old dogs a new tricks with all the subscription based software these days :)
Good luck in the draws to all so we can all try to make more of these memories.
Cheers, Pete
