After thousands of birds catch on fire, this multi-billion dollar solar plant has been deemed a massive failure.

"Maybe you’ve read about birds getting fried to death as they fly through the sunlight directed to the tops of the towers by fields of mirrors"

Dang, worder what it'd do to one of those thrill-seeking dudes on Paragliders...

"Plant workers call them “streamers.” Birds that fly through the beams of concentrated sunlight at the massive Ivanpah solar plant near Primm, Nevada catch fire and fall from the sky, leaving a smoky trail as they burn and die"

Have you ever driven past it? You can’t stop staring at it…it’s obnoxious.

There are a few high profile Democrats involved in getting that project going. I can't remember exactly....Pelosi was one...and I think even Hunter Biden was involved.

How much taxpayer dollars have been wasted by Democrats?

CA has the highest utility bills in the US.....then when you factor in the climate in CA is pretty mild...it's insane to think we have higher utility bills

Solyndra 2.0 - Thanks Obama...

"Renewable energy critics still raise the specter of Solyndra, a solar panel manufacturer that filed for bankruptcy in 2011 after receiving a $535-million federal loan."

Also, reminds me of LightSquared now rebranded as Ligado. Already they're arguing for 6G by 2030 - "Federal agencies including the Departments of Defense (DOD), Homeland Security, and Transportation and many members of the Armed Services committees in both Houses of Congress object to the FCC’s decision. They argue that “loud” signals from Ligado’s high-power terrestrial transmitters will overpower “soft” signals from Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites operated by DOD, potentially disrupting military operations. GPS device manufacturers, the aviation industry, public safety agencies, and others that rely on GPS".

Just wait until all of this horrible policy and the accompanying corruption comes out.....

Its going to hurt with all of the firings of Fed employees that are not actually doing anything.....but The good news is it should end up saving taxpayers close to a Trillion dollars.

I sincerely hope that anybody elected to public office that was receiving any money under the table on either side of the aisle is exposed and prosecuted. That is the only way this country is ever going to prosper. On our current course we are doomed just as the Roman Empire was doomed. We have grown too fat on the taxpayer’s dime and our “leaders” are as corrupt as hell. Maybe if a bunch of them could go to prison the incoming crop would be a little more acceptable to term limits, which is what we really need. Too long in a position of power corrupts many people. That’s why the Prez is term limited, Congress should be too.

Nevada is a solar field hell hole. I'm not even sure we glean much energy from this eyesore. Anyone been north, south, east and west of Vegas...it's something that needs to be seen to believed. 100s of thousands of acres of panels. Seem to stretch for miles. There is one of those saline towers between Tonapah and Hawthorn that is probably killing everything flying near that damn thing.
