I hope its a Pine Marten because they are kind of rare in Wisconsin. I also have a video of this critter.

Fisher by looking at it's size and the head.

I think it's a fisher, based on size. Martens also like dense mature forests.

Gotta be a fisher, its too large to be a martin. I've had many close encounters with fishers, almost too close, and the size of the head on that one is quite large.

I've seen both from a tree stand. The pine marten is much smaller than a fisher, so I vote fisher.

I think it's a Pine Marten. Fishers are bigger, darker, and have a much fluffier tail.

The only Pine Martins I have seen were brown . The only Fishers I have seen were black .

If thats a Pine Martin its a Booner .

Looks way to big to be a pine marten, the pine martens I've seen out west were about the size of a grey squirrel. I'm sure that is a fisher. Most fishers I've seen are about the size of a miniture dachshund.

Fisher without a doubt,I see them quite often. Also Pine Martens are common in Co. where I go elk hunting and they are lots smaller. Pine Martens are only a litle biggar than a mink.

Female fisher. The males tend to be larger and darker (nearly black). The marten is smaller, lighter in color and often has an orange colored patch on the throat / chest.

I vote Fisher. Like Notso said the marten is smaller and lighter in color. The wife and I just saw a female Fisher with 2 young ones this weekend about 15 yards away 10' up a tree.
