Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska,Missouri,Iliinois,South Dakota and Texas all for whitetail. I have hunted Wyoming, Idaho, South Dakota, Alaska and Nebraska for either Muleys, Elk , Caribou or Antelope. I hunt deer very seldomly in Arkansas mostly because the archery season is interrupted for extended periods of time due to Rifle seasons.....

Colorado and New Mexico for elk and turkey. Kansas this year for whitetail. Elk are by far my favorite, enuf so that I own a small piece of property and cabin north of Alamosa Colorado. Ladd, I think we have some friends in common, shoot me a pm some time.

About 17 years now Ladd. I love Utah. Not as many elk as CO but the hunting is always good.

I grew up in Arkansas but moved out west at 19!! I love western hunting but always missed the south. I moved back to Central Arkansas a few years ago but try to go back often. Here are some of my best animals and favorite hunts out west. Is there any other fanatic bow hunters in Central Arkansas.

My first major backpack hunt in Utah!! We hiked 9 miles in that trip. This was my first trophy mule deer with a bow. I didn't realize what I had until later.

HF-Very nice animals. Super muleys and goats! Getting this thread going is seems very difficult. It could just be me.
I too moved out west at 25. Spent 8 years in Alaska but moved back to Arkansas in 2008. I love hunting whenever and where-ever I can. Utah is one state that I have not hunted yet. I have been very fornute to hunt a lot of places and been able to take a few animals along the way. Love the experiences.
I have a lot of hogs on a couple of leases. They areca problem in south AR.

WOW!!!!!! Great animals and awesome pictures!!!! I hope to get a Dall sheep and grizzly one day soon. I'm hoping to draw a moose tag this February in Alaska. What part of Arkansas are you from? I went on a pig hunt a few weeks ago in southern Arkansas? What hunts do you have planned this year.

Thank you. I live in Magnolia. SouthCentral Arkansas. I have a Desert sheep hunt in Mexico in two months March 18-27. Then I don't have anything booked. Will be putting in again like many years for tags in all of the states.

I'm in the works on both. I went on a stone hunt about seven years ago but never recovered my wounded ram. I agree a dark stone is amazing. I am trying to be picking and get into some the better places for stones and trying draw the bighorn to avoid the high price tag. I am trying to complete an archery super slam. I have 25 of the 29 with the remaining 4: bison, stone sheep, desert, and bighorn. A tall order but that is how it worked out.

It went well except for my bear getting stuck in Canada due to the USFW ruling on importation and listing of bears on endangered list. Awesome experience an got a lot of it on video.
