Got my Nebraska goat, spot and stalk, how is everyone else doing? Kevin
That is a hellava goat Marty! This is my son Zach with his first Nebraska antelope which was also a spot and stalk in the sandhills.
Thanks Harlin, mine and Zachs are a direct result of your fine teachings! Awesome job Zach, way to show your old man up. Kevin
AWESOME JOB GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hunter also got his 1st spot and stalk NE goat today. Another proud dad!
Here is my buck from Sept. 6th.
Zach connected the next evening.
Congrats everyone and good luck to all.
We decided to try antelope for a day and a half after our Co elk hunt.
I got this guy spot n stalk right before the lights were turned out.
Defiantly a different year this year in the grasslands. It's so nice to see all the green grass up there.
Too hard for me to pass up this buck on a beautiful foggy Saturday morning with the rest of the day to deal with butchering, etc. Pronghorn longbow, Woodsman broadhead, 13 yd. shot, 50 yd. recovery (very high lung going in/liver going out).
Well once again my son is kicking my butt on the meatpole. We watched this buck on trail cams for 3 weeks prior to the season opener. His last mistake was showing back up on september 1st. Special thanks to Zach and Harlin Welch, and Grandpa who assisted with the recovery and celebration!
Very cool buck in velvet! Congrats to all of who have scored so far.
My Western Nebraska Muley I shot on opening morning. There wasn't as many goats as in the past but we saw plenty of good mule deer bucks.

Happy to get this sandhills buck!
This buck put on quite a show on the way in
MY 12 year old daughter Maddie with her first buck!
AWESOME JOB MADDIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You Go Girl!
Got lucky finding this Mule deer, after a short stalk I made good on the shot. Thanks to my trusty guide, my son Hunter! Awesome job everyone. Love the buck Maddie, bigger than my 1st! Kevin
Great job to everyone so far. I always forget to check the state page so sorry I'm a little late on this.
Sweet! Where did you get the moose? Kevin
I was in SW AK on a drop camp hunt. the other two guys in camp were rifle hunters that shot much bigger bulls.
You Bull is still AWESOME, Great Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To cool, I would take a smaller animal with my bow any day! That's why we are Bow hunters!! Kevin
My Dad stopped bowhunting the year I was born, I'm 26 now. I got into bowhunting several years ago and finally talked my dad into getting a new hoyt 3 years ago. He's been practicing like crazy and had several opportunities at deer last season. He never took a shot but enjoyed his time. This year we met at deer camp for a weekend hunt during the cold front that first weekend in October. I had 15 deer in range Saturday morning including 11 bucks. The best was a decent 8 pt but I have a genuine giant on camera so it was an easy pass. Saturday night I took a doe and got her dressed and in the pickup and went to a high spot for cell phone reception. After dark, I went to show him the doe I took and I found him gutting a deer in the headlights. Little to my knowledge he had put down this great buck, his first in over 25 years with a bow, with a twelve yard shot. We scored him right at 155, by far his biggest archery buck and 2nd best overall. I couldn't have been happier for him and it's one we'll remember. He even got video footage of this and another good 10pt 2 hours before he shot it.

A buddy of mine killed a buck like that three years ago out near Holdredge. Could have been your bucks twin, the only difference was the g4s and g5s were more crab-claw like. Scored him at 155 too.
Shiras where is that recurve kill?
Harlin,
I don't have any pictures that are worth a darn. I had just got back from AK and didn't have time to get my pack "repacked" and didn't have a camera with me. Hell, when I shot him I was in gym shorts and t-shirt with my ghillie top on. :)
That is a classic. Congrats on your "traditional" buck!
I set up with my Summit climber along the edge of a standing corn field Sunday afternoon, regardless of the fact it was 88 degrees. This bruiser of a buck was skirting the edge of the field right at sundown and offered me a 23 yard broadside shot. He tipped the scale at 227 pounds field dressed.
Snizzler,
That thing is a toad!!
Stud body on the brute Snizzler!!
Zayne made a good lung shot on this doe Saturday morning for his first harvest of the fall. She went only 25 yards after the shot.
Shot this buck 11/1. Public land, 15 yard shot, 50 yard recovery. My best buck ever. Congrats to everyone on great deer so far!
I shot this guy on 11/4. Grunted him into the decoy. 25 yard shot. 100 yard recovery. He has 12 scorable tines they just are all short.
Hunted hard for nine days and had some close calls on a couple of studs and ended up tagging this buck on Nov 7th on an awesome hunt.
Shot this 15 pt non-typical on Nov. 6th after 6 days of hunting as he was checking a scrape. My taxidermist scored him at 161". After the shot I tracked him about 80 yds by flashlight and decided to wait until morning light when I found him after another 100 yards.
Super success congrats to all. Great picture quality as well.
Hunter rattled in this mule deer buck and had a short blood trail after an 8 yard shot in a brand new stand!
Congratulations to everyone that has found success this fall. Some great looking animals!
Hunter couldn't pass up this buck in the snow and cold on opening day of rifle season. He said "things were just to perfect not to shoot" Good shot and short blood trail. Awesome pictures and fine animals this year! Kevin
Longbow buck taken on 11/13. Had the big boy inside 20 yds twice earlier in the week with no shot but couldn't pass up this 6 yd shot. I needed some meat. It was 3 degrees when I took the pics.
Got this guy on 11/16/14 about 4:30 in the afternoon. Thanks go out to the Game and Parks for allowing bowhunting during the regular firearm season!
Brenden arrowed this buck at 3:30pm on 11/12/13 from his climber stand.
November 12th, 2014 was the right day to be in the stand. This buck initially worked in from behind my stand and offered a quartering away shot at 12 yards as he passed in front of me. I watched him go down about 120 yards in a grass meadow.
Zach arrowed this buck opening morning of rifle season. The freezer is full!
here is a buck I got November 9th
Nice buck Denny! Congrats, Kevin
My son Nick's girlfriend, Ashley, got her 1st buck with the bow. Good Job, Ashley! Kevin
My 2014 buck, not the greatest pic but you get he idea!
Nick, Hunter, and I last night, 1st time ever we all tagged one in the same night! Kevin
Disappointing season, but was able to put some last minute venison in the freezer with this late season doe.
