Retired Army wanting to hunt Monroe Elk

As a Non resident I'd like to hunt Elk in Utah and would like to Archery Elk hunt in Monroe unit. Not sure how to go about it. Any tips would appreciated. REALLY tired of the Calif BS trying to draw a bull tag.

It would take about 10 points minimum to draw a bull tag. You can however get an otc spike or cow tag every year.

This year a guy drew Monroe LE Archery Elk with zero points!
I'd pay the money and roll the dice every year for the hunt you want. You never know when it will be your turn. In my case, I drew a LE archery elk tag after applying for 25 years. Have never drawn any other LE tag in all these years. Hopefully YMMV :)
Here's the link for the page where you will apply when the time comes. There are no draws open to apply for right now, but sometime in Jan. or Feb. is when the Big Game application period opens.
