Okay, here a simple, one question, pool published in the Kansas City Star. Please follow the link and take the pool. Bills introduced in the Missouri General Assembly this session would have a major impact on the way the Missouri Department of Conservation is funded. One of those bills, a measure that would eliminate the Conservation Sales Tax, was withdrawn Friday by its sponsor, State Rep. Craig Redmon. He said the proposal had met his intended goal: to generate debate over the Department of Conservation’s accountability. Three other bills targetting the agency’s funding remain: ? One bill calls for a constitutional amendment requiring the Conservation Sales Tax to be approved by voters every 10 years.

? Another measure would keep the Conservation Sales Tax but would eliminate hunting, fishing and trapping permit fees for residents. ? The sales tax is a great thing for Missouri hunters. We need to support the Conservation Department. They do a great job.
