Can't wait. I'm headed out to Idaho to hunt bear from 8 May until the 31st of May. Going to hook up with my two oldest boys and hunt over bait in the afternoons and predator call in the mornings. I have 20 acres way back in the mountains that I have not been to in almost 3 years. Look forward to camping out there. Going to feel so good to get back into the mountains and spend some quality time with my boys.

Will do, not bad $75.50 for a non-resident hunting license, bear tag and archery stamp.

Don't forget Cinamon Sticks. There is nothing like a good Cinimon burn to bring them in.

Will do, I've done honey burns and made bear crack, but have not tried a cinnamon burn.

Yes, made the 2700 mile trip in 3 days only to have my bow and 2 rifles stolen my first day back. On a good note bear bait #1 was hammered day before yesterday. Got my trail camera put in yesterday and I go back to check on bait #2 tomorrow. That bait just about killed me getting it up the mountain.

Haven't hunted yet. My oldest flies in tomorrow night so Weds will be the first time hunting.....but I still have to figure out the weapons situation since everything I brought was stolen.

I have a guy on a hunting site I spend a fair amount of time on called Hunting Washington, and his friend passed away last year. He was a left handed bow shooter as well and today I met with him and he gave me 3 bows and some arrows. I spent the afternoon setting up a Strother SR71 bow and have it dialed in and nailing the center dot. Going to FINALLY sit in a stand tomorrow. Thank you for the offer, very nice of you!! Had another really nice color phase bear show up at the bait this morning. I'm hoping he comes in in the next couple of days.

no problem man, I am a lefty as well, don't shoot or own a compound but can have you a longbow or recurve there in 48 hours tops

Yea, that really sucks! I'm a lefty, too. What is your draw length?? Good luck on the color phase!

My son killed his first bear yesterday. A nice 130 pound boar with fantastic coat, red cinnamon and very thick. It was an awesome experience sitting a few feet away when he took the shot. Now I have 5 days left to get mine.

Had a mid-sized bear at 7 yards last night with a really nice coat, red cinnamon, but was just a tad too small. Headed back to Virginia tomorrow. Had a fantastic trip with my oldest.

Back in VA. Great trip and the worst trip of my life all rolled into three weeks.
