Greetings, I am preparing to relocate to the Kansas City area. I will be living in Lee's Summit and am in the process of finding some good hunting ground. Reed Memorial is close by and I plan to check it out in the next couple of weeks. Has anyone hunted here before? Can you give me some tips?

Hopper...I was only there once and it was crowded. Get away from Jackson co. area.

Deer, mostly. Though I'm an opportunist. Coming from Oklahoma, you get to shoot pigs from time to time as well.

No pigs this far north, yet. Reed area is a management area for deer. Application only. Due in July, i think.

That sucks that it is a permit only area, it's only 2 miles from the house I'm buying.
