He exited and returned to search for the case, but in the time that passed, it appears that somebody else stopped and took the case. There was no sign that it had been struck by traffic and he searched the ditch along the stretch of road for about an hour.
The bow, a Mathews Switchback, was a gift from his dying brother. They hunted together for years and the bow was a token of the brothers' relationship. It has a special plaque on it bearing a message to my father-in-law from his deceased brother.
Throwing this out in the hopes that it might lead to any information.
