Shot a small 5 pointer Oct 3 in the afternoon! Gave me an easy 15 yard shot ran a few feet and went down!No tracking!

Happy thanksgiving! Had a bunch of deer around me this morning,no bucks but this doe gave me an easy shot. She ran only 20 yards and dropped. 11/26 has always been a good day for me.

Had a doe run in and out the 10 minutes later this 8 point came in. Quartering away shot had my first pass thru followed a 70yd red sidewalk and there he was!

Nice buck Dan Congrats! Still hunting in Lincoln? I started hunting only a few years ago and am still learning…..do deer avoid an area that a kill was made for a while?

Red, no they don't. I put out a gut pile with a cam for coyote and got pics of deer sticking their nose right in it.

Thanks Red! I don't think deer really know what a kill is but I usually drag mine away from my area before dressing.

Thanks Guys, I appreciate the advice! I did a European mount on that buck with the crazy rack….really irregular, I wish he hadn't lost the straight tine with the other points.
