Planning my 2016 Idaho elk hunt

Good morning guys, hoping to get a little non resident help. This upcoming year I will be coming to Idaho, after my Wyoming elk hunt, in hopes of harvesting a bull there. I'm an experienced elk hunter, that prefers to pack in and hunt Bivouac style. I have the Month of September off, so time is not really the issue, knowledge of where to hunt is. A number of years ago, I packed into unit 44/48 outside Ketchum, and while that hunt was a blast, I'm a guy that always prefers seeking out new country. An Idaho Biologist told me unit 34, outside Stanley holds some decent bulls? Not asking for a guys secret canyon, or anything like that, just hoping to get some honest information regarding a general area where a guy can pack in, hunt hard, and have a few encounters with elk.
