Greetings!
I have a sister moving to Livingston this summer. What are the hunting opportunities like in that area, public or mostly private? game populations?
Thanks

The opportunities are really good. You could head just about any direction and be in areas for antelope, deer (whitetail and mule), elk, moose, mtn goat, black bear, and wolf. There is a lot of National Forest to hunt, as well as private land. The game populations are good. If you head south, towards Yellowstone Park, you will encounter more elk, moose, wolves, and bear (grizzly, too).
Generally speaking, it's a good area. I hope your sister likes the wind. Livingston is known for the winds. Great fishing too.

Fantastic Hunting in every direction. Whitetail on the river bottom of the Yellowstone in every direction. Elk up paradise valley on both sides. It's all there. Great place to live or visit for you. Tons of public land.

I agree! Anywhere around Livingston is great for elk, deer, bear and now antelope through the Paradise Valley.
