Is the "gutless" method legal in MI?
Basically it is basic processing in the field. Skin and remove backstraps, 1/4's, and neck.
It sounds like it is legal if you keep the tagged head.
What's the skinny?
Thanks in advance

I hunt some remote spots in the western UP,,,, I tag my buck, field dress and cut in half.... legs at the joints are off//// easy than for my old body to get it out.... either with cart, or take out on sled, or like last year, (got lucky on a big one, body wise) hung up the rear section with cord in the tree, and took the front out first........

I have met a lot of hunters over the years that have quartered out their deer. I always like to see the tagged head.

well you have to tag the deer, before you even field dress it, so that is a mute point.....

swampcop: be careful out there. This administration has put a target on LEO backs. I have another retired LEO hunting out of my camp and we made contact with out local CO to let him know that we have his 6 if he needs us.
