CrossBow decoker

Does any one know if using a CrossBow Decoking bolt is hard on the limbs or bad for the crossbow? I have a broken limb on a cross bow that was shot very little.

I would follow the instructions that are attached to the limbs. If not you may have a warrantee issue down the road. I baited bear for a veteran two weeks ago and he just shot a target arrow into the ground to unload his.
