Harvested my first deer using a bow yesterday. A nice mature two and a half year old. Couldn't be more happier! Happy Hollidays!

Nice work! Tell us the story. How far was the drag?

Thanks everyone. And Franzen, i shot her at about 230 pm at 30 yards while she was quartering away. I hunt with my neighbor who got me into bow hunting. The drag was a little over a mile. It was tough work since it from where I recovered her to the truck. It took awhile since it was through a soaking wet corn field. It was a long drag but it was totally worth it. I'm addicted to bow hunting now. I'm going to teach myself how to process her today with the help of many YouTube videos!

Bowman do yourself a huge favor and buy a good sled. This will make your future drags much easier. Enjoy learing to butcher your deer. Make sure you have some super sharp knives & a torch if you get hair all over the meat.
