They have logged around my house the last 2 years, cleaning out the doghair thickets and taking most of the small pines.
I normally don't see an elk from the end of Oct. until April, then it is just cows that return early. This year the cows went away as usual, but I have been seeing bulls all thru this winter. I am sure that it is due to the increased feed available due to the forest floor getting more sun and the good rain this year and last.
