Long Island or NYC RMEF?

Hi all - curious if there are any RMEF members on Long Island or in NYC? I see from the RMEF website that there is a "long island chapter" but as best I can tell there is no activity, and there have been no events. For awhile I had been exchanging emails with the regional director trying to find more info (or if anyone on LI is active) but I never really got to the bottom of it.

Is anyone active? or interested?
