Same question here..... I drew the archery permit for the Nov 9-16 week. Not the group hunt. Kinda wondering what area I can hunt, I guess the " open Area'? Any of you guys draw that week? Maybe we can share some info. Thx

It's so rare for anyone to draw, you will have a very hard time finding advice here. But it only takes one? The main reason there's so many applicants is because it's free to apply even for nonresidents. So they get flooded. Likely not even that great a hunt. It's all about perceived value. I drew a couple in the past at Pate-Philips and they turned out to be complete busts despite beating 4% draw odds.
Tough to do in summer but your best bet is try some summer scouting if you can get a cold front make things comfortable enough.
