I hunt public land and the area I usually go to planted a ton of sunflowers this year. I have not been hunting long and was wondering how much of a difference it may make, last year the fields there were bean and corn. When I look for anything sunflower related it is usually Dove related. thanks for the info!

They probably were planted for doves if I had to venture a guess. In my opinion there will be a lot of traffic in that area in September, which may not make it a good location come early season. Having said that, each area can be different, thus go with whatever your scouting tells you.
