Montana 2017 Season

I'm curious how people rate this bowhunting season in Montana versus past seasons. I would have to say that from my point of view it was one of the worst, if not the worst seasons that I can remember. First week was way too hot, then second week it was hot and smokey, then third week it turned to winter. As far as bugling action, it had to be the worst year. As far as weather it has to be the worst year. I did get lucky and kill a bull, but I've had a lot more enjoyable years where I killed nothing. Anyway, I'm wondering what others thought of this year?

My first two weeks were hot and smokey, I did encounter elk and should have had an elk had I not made dumb mistakes. Week 3 I didn't get out. Week 4 was cooler and wet, bugling was slow and had a few more encounters. Overall aside from the weather I can't complain as I have spent more days in the field this fall than I have in the last few even though I didn't punch a tag.
