Yesterday I wasn't able to get out into the deer woods. It gave me some time to start cutting the deer I have in the cooler. It also gave me a little while to take my bow for a walk up by my bee yard to look for squirrels. My daughter has been begging me to cook "her" squirrel we shot back in September. Now just a few more and it'll be a meal. She insisted on helping with processing it, just like the last one. This time she was able to point out the heart and lungs.

So cool. My grandmother loved squirrel better than anything else...lobster, pheasant, duck...or the best filet. She always smiled when I brought her a brace of squirrels...dressed of course. She par-boiled them...then floured them in an iron skillet. Makes my mouth water.
