Wilderness Unlimited Thoughts

Hi, I am new to bow hunting in California. Am interested in Deer, Turkey and potentially hog. It seems land access is somewhat challenging, there are guide options, and public lands. Have been looking into Wilderness Unlimited, and wanted to get some input from the group. Is it worth it, or should I focus on public lands?

There is plenty of public land in Ca. National Forest the length of the state, BLM at the eastern side. I bought in to the Wilderness Unlimited scheme, where you buy a glossy book and bumper sticker, then have to get an appointment to hunt and stand in line. Never did see anything on their properties. A waste of money.
