Imy family has been hunting this public land marsh in Waterloo for over 30 years, all of our stands are on islands, and points on the edge of this huge marsh! See giant bucks every year and have had very few chances at a shot! but most of the time they are out of one thicket into the next unless it’s the rut! Any suggestions on to how I should go about taking a hoss buck? I mean it has to happen one of these years right? Lol

As you look across, that is all thick bedding area for a few hundred yards, then a road, and another huge marsh with acorn ridges on the Outskirts

You answered your own question. "the rut." Concentrate your hunting time during the rut when bucks are moving from patch to patch searching for does. This might be the kind of place for an all day sit if you can handle it.
