bsked and I decided to roll over to Jersey today. we're hunting what I call the Serengeti grasslands of NJ. this property is almost all fields. we can see along way maybe we'll see a wildebeest or 2

I have the heavies on today. 21 degrees when we left the truck. I'm on the south end of prop looking north with a small thicket behind me
I now have deer at 250 yds to the N. maybe 6 or so. we'll see what they do

I was able to get glass on them. I see 3 at this point 3 small bucks

those bucks are between me and the farm house in the distance

2 of them have been battleing for about 10 minutes now
saw a 4th deer in that group. field is still high. they disappear easy

those 2 deer came right to the road(100 yd) in front of an opening that heads right to me. for some reason she turned and went back to the west

funny---' just had a big diesel dodge p u go by with a quad on the trailer. as it passed, I was trying to make out what else was on the trailer. there was a huge pile of corn, on the cob. yikes, guess he's getting ready for gun season. think there was enough corn to feed a field full of cows

kinda quiet right now I can see 2 deer across the street feeding on grass @400 yds.

this is the small thicket behind me it's only about a 1/4 acre
but deer usually visit every day at some point

Still 25 degrees outside here Bill. Checking in for the second time. Deer have been in the fields every afternoon around here for the last week or so. Staying out all day, or taking a lunch break?

Done for the day guys, had to help get the bird in the oven. it got quiet for the last hour or so, no more sightings
