So story as promised! First, some of you know my camera died with the last video hunt I shared, so unfortunately I didn’t get this one on vid! I got to the property 20 Min before legal light. I like to walk in during legal light during gun season in case I see something walking in I don’t spook it. So at league light I Walked in, nice tall ladder stand, creek behind it 100 yards away, field out in front, thick bedding off to the right 100 yards away. A great property my buddy (user RJamesmac ) got us permission for. Awesome rub line right through the woods leading in front of the stand, and a fresh scrape. I had just finished settling in, when I heard footsteps. I looked up and saw a giant body, but couldn’t make out antlers. I’ve been blessed to get 3 does this year, so I was gonna be picky about what buck I would shoot. I couldn’t tell when he was in the thick brush if I was gonna take him. He headed away from me and disappeared for a moment. I thoughts lost him. Then he stepped out into the vineyard, and I had a good look at that rack. It took me all of 3 milliseconds to decide he was going home. Pulled the trigger, right through the boiler room at about 50 yards away, he ran 40 yards and I watched him drop. Shortest hunt of my life! Was hunting all of 10 minutes. Great buck, may be my PB, it’s close with my first buck from 6 years ago! Had him on camera too!

Steve7, we have a farm and raise pigs and chickens and cows. We have 4 chest freezers haha! (And we’re still running out of space!)
