Hitting it hard this week with my bow. Damn cold this morning- 14 degrees in northern tip of 6k but The wind was ideal for my soybean field so what the hell. Had a funky spike at 25 but I let him walk. Beautiful clear morning!

Anyone

Not that cold on the SW end of 6K. It was 21 degrees here and no snow on the ground.

Still getting some buck movement on my cams.

Good luck!

Good luck. I'll be back out Saturday (most likely w/ bow in 3S).

This late season bow hunting is tough! Only had a few in range, either not what I want to shoot or no way to get a shot without getting busted. Got three more days and I'm putting my time in for sure! Still fun.

Looks like good hunting weather for the weekend.

Good Luck!

Had an 8pt walking in but he caught my wind. Checked the trail cams and busted two small bucks out walking in at noon! They are moving hard in the mid day. May need to sit all day tomorrow. Any deer is on the menu now. I've not shot a single deer all year! Pathetic.

It’s not over until the (fat dry doe) sings!

Right until the bitter end. I love it!

Nice job.

You still have a half a day to kill a buck though. :)

It’s over. No shots heard today which means my two top bucks survived. Had pics of them two days ago and they were moving during the day but holding inside my borders. Both will be terrific next year so long as it’s not a bad winter.

The doe I killed was obese! Loaded with fat and super healthy. I’m doing something right.

That is good news.

I think this was least amount of shooting I have ever heard this year.

I think my #1 made it as well. I have stayed out of the woods since I filled my rifle tag 2 weeks ago.

Time to move some cams around and do some scouting.

Congrats on a clean bow kill, far better than tag soup..Back in October I posted a thread on my concerns that we were headed for a sub par season based on camera intel. Based on most guy's observations this seems to be the case...Tom

Tom those are my observations as well, and the observations of just about everyone I speak to in my area.

Pat since you hunt NY I would look for southern tier property maybe around Georgetown or Brookfield.

Petcontain, I’ve considered that. Instead I just focus on my home state of Connecticut. I have a terrific property to hunt and the season runs until 1/31.

Im in southern tier, around bath. Pretty good huntin. Some bad luck and missed opportunities so no deer down YET. Got 1 more wk end rifle, then 4 days muzzleloader.

drslyr, just an FYI, gun ends on the 10th, and late bow/muzz runs 11th to the 19th. Don't want you to miss anything, lol!
