A friend took this picture on January 1 from his central Michigan deer stand. Just wondering how often does get bred late enough for this to occur. I have never submitted a picture to the site so I hope I did it right . In case I didn't I will explain. He had a completely spotted fawn come in . The deer looked like a mid June fawn. About 25 pounds.

I had a simular size with spots mid January last year. North east Wisconsin. I didn't belive my eyes on stand until trail camera confirmed it

It's gunna be tough for that little one to make it through winter.

I've only seen one like that in the summer......never one that small or spotted in early fall....let alone January. Indeed, that little one is going to have rough going over the winter, especially if it continues in the same manner as the past few weeks.

I'm guessing January or Feb breeding date.

I saw twin fawns in late December a few years ago.
