If WV was a 1 and done last year, would you have killed the buck you killed or the 1st of 2-3 bucks you killed?
How many would still have shot that first buck of the year?

Yes I would have shot him and then packed up to head somewhere else. And I passed on quite a few before I shot. And because of good management policy of our state I needed to shoot a doe before I could go after a second buck.

Yes I would have killed the one I got this year. If I wasn't proud of him I would have let him go. I grunted him in twice, the first time he fooled me and not so lucky the second time.

The question said nothing about the age of the deer or the size of the rack it or if it was a doe just asked if you would have shot the buck you shot.

I shot an 8pt on an antler restricted wma in rifle season. Didn't see a buck I wanted to take in bow season. BTW I didn't have any extra buck tags, so my first buck was my last. The county I live in only allows one buck, there were bigger does around than the bucks I had a chance at.

Never took a buck this year , didnt have a shot at anything bigger than what I a have already taken. My personal rule is 1 buck ,3.5 or older. if I had taken 1 buck in wv i would just have hunted more in Ohio. I did take a big doe for meat which is all I needed.

MP I wasn't replying to you I was replying to the first post asking if you would shoot the buck you killed if it was one and done. Did reply that I didn't shoot a buck but if I had it would still have been the one I would have shot to begin with. If I shoot a buck I am not ashamed of it and only shoot one a year if any.
