This deer showed up on camera the first time October 22. I never saw it during the ML season, the landowner wanted it taken if possible. This picture is from January 7th, but it has been seen twice later in January with the arrow still in place. I'm amazed the arrow hasn't broken off.

That is amazing. The deer looks pretty good in that picture.

They tell me it gets around fine with no limp. Obviously the arrow head is deep into the top of the scapula but I still can't believe the shaft is totally intact.

killed a buck several years back that had an arrowhead embedded in the shoulder blade. It was encased in cartilage, but the buck walked with a serious limp.

It's too bad it hasn't broke off close to the shoulder. I would seem she's going to numb it a lot, probably re-agrativate the wound.
