Do you think a ladder stand in a pressured deer area makes them skittish? I have shot plenty out of ladder stands with guns ...never a bow...

Gun , bow how would the deer know.. if you put it up early enough it shouldnt matter..

I have had deer walk between steps and tree, now if someone sits in that stand and gets pick off by a deer that's a different story it will make the deer wiery just like any other stand .

notme...my point with a gun is you don't have to be as close...so my gun shots from a ladder stand were 50 to 80 yards say while with a bow we are talking 20 to 40

Deer don't reason. They have no idea what a ladder stand is. Just another thing in the woods that doesn't move. I've had multiple deer walk so close to my ladders that I could've jumped on them by just stepping off.

For deer, a ladder stand is just a couple of long sticks after 2-3 weeks.
