Just got word that the Tri-County Golf Shoot scheduled for Saturday has been postponed due to possible weather conditions.

Some of my fondest memories of the golf shoots were in the conditions just described. When you aim your tee shot into the next fairway and watch the wind move it into the fairway you are playing, that is wind. Loved those old shoots with Dan Neebe and Hank. Great times.

Think we are getting soft these days! I was sitting in the stands at a Track meet Saturday morning. No snow, but 35* and 30 mph wind. Half the teams did not show. I remember running at Penn St. in the late 80's in snow and 33* with wind gusting to 50 mph. ;-)
